As a Senior Real Estate Investment Manager, you will be responsible for identifying potential investment properties that align with the firm's investment strategy and risk tolerance. This involves conducting in-depth market research, analyzing property financials, performing due diligence, and structuring complex real estate transactions. You will develop detailed financial models, including discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, sensitivity analysis, and pro forma projections, to evaluate investment viability. Building and maintaining strong relationships with brokers, developers, lenders, and other industry participants is crucial for deal sourcing and execution. Preparing comprehensive investment memos and presentations for the investment committee and senior management will be a key responsibility. You will also be involved in asset management activities, monitoring portfolio performance, overseeing property operations, and recommending strategies for value enhancement. Managing existing real estate assets and ensuring optimal returns through effective strategies is vital. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work autonomously in a remote environment. A keen eye for market opportunities and a proven track record of successful real estate acquisitions are essential.
Responsibilities: Source and identify potential real estate investment opportunities (e.g., commercial, residential, industrial properties). Conduct comprehensive market research and feasibility studies for new investments. Perform detailed financial analysis, including pro forma modeling, DCF analysis, and sensitivity testing. Conduct thorough due diligence on potential acquisitions, including physical, legal, and financial aspects. Structure and negotiate complex real estate transactions. Prepare and present detailed investment memorandums and proposals to the investment committee. Manage the acquisition process from initial offer through closing. Oversee asset management activities for the existing portfolio, including performance monitoring and strategic planning. Develop and implement value-add strategies for real estate assets. Maintain and foster relationships with brokers, developers, lenders, and other industry stakeholders. Monitor market trends and economic conditions impacting the real estate sector. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and investment policies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA preferred. Minimum of 8 years of experience in real estate investment, acquisitions, or asset management. Proven track record of successfully sourcing, analyzing, and closing real estate deals. Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, with expertise in Excel and real estate software. In-depth understanding of real estate markets, property types, and investment strategies. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a remote setting. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience in asset management and property operations is a plus. Network of contacts within the real estate industry is advantageous.
