Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Strategy and Capability Development, this role leads the insights strategy for the commercial business, supporting both Agency and Direct teams while contributing to wider organisational initiatives.
What You'll Do:
As Senior Research and & Insights Manager you will lead the delivery of insight programs that inform commercial strategy, client pitches, trade positioning, and brand health. Ensuring alignment with business objectives, using insight-led thinking to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Key responsibilities:
Transform complex data into clear, commercially focused narratives that drive outcomes.
Deliver high-impact presentations that bring insights to life for clients, senior leaders, and the Executive Team.
Predict market shifts, emerging opportunities, and tipping points that influence MediaWorks’ strategic direction.
Build a holistic view of market performance by integrating syndicated sources and proprietary datasets (e.g., GfK, Nielsen, CMI, Veritone, Opinionation, knOOH, campaign analytics, and more).
Develop frameworks, dashboards, and tools that support ongoing, proactive, data-driven decision-making.
Establish strong internal and external relationships fostering trust, collaboration, and thought leadership.
Contribute your expertise, curiosity, and perspective to support and coach a high-performing, engaging, and inclusive team environment.
What You’ll Bring:
10+ years experience in insights, research, analytics, or strategy roles — ideally within a media owner, agency, or research consultancy.
Strong understanding of research methodologies, media audience measurement, market evaluation, and brand performance analysis.
Experience with tools such as Nielsen Consumer & Media View, Roy Morgan, GeoTribes Explorer, Nielsen AdViews, SMI, and similar datasets.
Ability to simplify complexity, tell compelling stories, and communicate insights clearly to senior stakeholders and clients.
High proficiency in Google Suite, strong presentation skills, and exceptional attention to detail.
Strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to evaluate opportunities and make sound decisions.
Influential and confident communicator with strong storytelling and presentation skills.
