Summary
Senior Specialist is an expert who brings in good amount of GL Accounting knowledge to the table. S/He has a wide range of experience in handling critical process issues and comes up with effective solutions for a smooth functioning. S/He analyses the process issues in a structured manner with tools like RCA & and come up with innovative ways of reducing time & improving efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities
Performs the assigned set of activities on a Daily/Weekly/Monthly basis.
• S/He is expected to have good understanding about: Prepaids, Accruals, Amortization/Deferral other Expense/Revenue entries and Balance Sheet Reconciliations etc.
• Upon completion of his/her assigned Projects / activities, further assigns them to the Internal Reviewer.
• Provides any data support to the Lead/Manager along with taking training sessions for the current / New team members.
• Have sound experience in developing SOPs, SIPOC, FMEA & Process flow mapping.
• Able to Identify, drive and complete Process, Quality and Efficiency Improvements/Projects.
• Manages & meet deadlines on assigned projects, operational and adhoc activities and serves as a backup.
Scope of Responsibility
Normally receives detailed trainings for the assigned activities from the Team Leader / Manager in the process. He/she needs to come up the learning curve in a quick span of time and take up the ownership of cross training the fellow team member's activities and creating backups.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
• 4-6 years of relevant experience, preferred from GL Accounting/R2R domain.
• MBA in Finance (or) M. Com with Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com).
• CA/CMA Inter will be an added advantage.
• Carries good working knowledge on General Ledger Accounting.
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel, VBA Macros, PowerPoint
