Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role in Thane for a Senior MS SQL Database Administrator. The Senior MS SQL DBA will be responsible for managing and maintaining mission-critical databases, designing, and implementing database solutions, participating in incident response and resolution, and addressing performance and capacity issues. The Senior MS SQL DBA will also work collaboratively with teams to develop processes, procedures, and architectural standards to ensure high availability, data security, and disaster recovery.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
We have opening for L2 MS SQL DBA with the experience between 5 to 8 Years. preferred for candidate who can join immediate or having less than 1 month notice period.
Provide Microsoft #SQLServerdatabase administration support for all lines of business applications and infrastructure applications.
Strong experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc.
Strong experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Ability to detect and troubleshoot SQL Server related CPU, Memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention.
Strong knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, database maintenance tasks.
Hands-on experience in Disaster Recovery solutions like Log-Shipping, Mirroring & Replication
Hands-on experience in High Availability solutions like SQL Clustering
Experience on SQL HA/DR solutions like Windows clustering, ALWAYS ON.
Strong knowledge of how indexes, index management, integrity checks, configuration, patching.
Knowledge of SQL Server tools (Profiler, DTA, SSMS, SSCM, PerfMon, DMVs, DBCCs)
Proficient on DC-DR Replication and DR-Drills
Strong experience in database upgrades from one SQL version to another SQL version
Knowledge of Development environment will be an advantage
Good exposure on Security/compliance audit management
Should be proficient in backup and recovery of databases.
Should have good knowledge of database monitoring.
Hands-on experience of implementation of Security policies.
Prefered immidate joiner & Mumbai base candidate as there will be F2F round in the Thane office.
