Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant

We provide food services in an array of celebrated New York City cultural institutions including Jazz at Lincoln Center, Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Wave Hill, and The Apollo Theater. We are known for full-service catering and events, corporate workplace dining and amenity programs, and large-scale event and festival production. Great Performances is the nation’s first caterer to own and operate an organic farm, Katchkie Farm located in Kinderhook, NY. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Staff Accountant with 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the hospitality or food services industry. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role will be instrumental in supporting the organization’s core accounting operations. The ideal candidate is disciplined, consistent, and thrives in a hands-on, manual environment where strong problem-solving skills and independent ownership are key. Responsibilities include preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, supporting payroll processes, and managing cost allocations contributing to both the daily accounting functions and the monthly close process.
