• This is a newly created role to support the company's growth - they've tripled their revenue in the last 5 years.
• The role will assist with the implementation of a new internal audit framework as advised by Deloitte. For this reason, candidates must have either internal or external audit experience, but don't need to have worked in public accounting.
• Other key focuses of the role will be on the month-end close, reconciliations, and fixed assets.
Responsibilities
• Prepare monthly balance sheet and expense account reconciliations and account analysis
• Assist with month, quarter, and year-end close
• Assist with bank account reconciliations
• Review current Accounting Policies & Procedures, help Assistant Controller in improving and establishing best practices
• Utilizing research tools assist in research new accounting standards and identifying additional processes needed to keep financials in line with generally accepted accounting principles
• Assist Accounting Manager with fixed asset management and construction in process
• Assist with the implementation of new software solutions
• Provide variance and profitability analysis as directed by management
• Assist in management of sales tax, property tax, and franchise tax
• Assist with annual financial audit by preparing schedules and any supporting documentation required by auditors
• Perform various other duties as assigned by the management team
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
5+ years professional accounting experience (either corporate, public accounting or a blend of both)
CPA not required but preferred
