Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Recruiter to join our talent acquisition team, specializing in the chemical industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, identifying, and recruiting top-tier candidates for various roles across the chemical manufacturing, engineering, and production sectors. As a key member of our recruitment team, you will work closely with hiring managers and HR leaders to ensure the hiring process is efficient, effective, and aligned with the company’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Sourcing & Talent Pipeline Development: Develop and execute targeted recruitment strategies for hard-to-fill technical and specialized roles in the chemical industry, including engineers, chemists, plant operators, safety experts, and quality control professionals.
Job Postings & Advertising: Create detailed and engaging job postings that attract qualified candidates and represent the company’s values and culture. Post job openings on relevant industry-specific job boards, social media platforms, and through internal networks.
Candidate Screening & Assessment: Conduct thorough screenings of resumes, applications, and technical qualifications for candidates. Perform phone and video interviews, assess technical and cultural fit, and present a short list of candidates to hiring managers.
Collaborate with Hiring Managers: Work closely with department heads, engineering, operations, and R&D managers to define job requirements and qualifications for positions within the chemical industry.
Industry Networking: Attend industry-specific career fairs, conferences, and events to expand the candidate pool and promote the company’s brand in the chemical sector.
Candidate Experience Management: Ensure a smooth and positive experience for all candidates, providing timely feedback and clear communication throughout the recruitment process.
Offer Management & Negotiation: Extend job offers to selected candidates, negotiate salary and benefits packages, and ensure smooth on boarding processes.
Compliance & Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations within the chemical industry.
Market Research & Trend Monitoring: Keep up to date with trends in the chemical industry and talent market, identifying emerging skills and roles, and leveraging this information to improve recruitment strategies.
Employer Branding: Work with the marketing and HR teams to build and maintain the company’s reputation as an employer of choice within the chemical industry.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience as a Recruiter or Talent Acquisition Specialist, with at least 2-3 years of experience recruiting for the chemical or manufacturing industry.
Strong understanding of chemical industry-specific roles, technical skills, and certifications (e.g., process engineers, chemical safety experts, lab technicians, etc.).
Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, or industry-specific job boards.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical candidates and hiring managers.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple open positions at once.
Knowledge of employment laws and regulations in the chemical industry.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage candidate pipelines efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience recruiting for technical, engineering, and R&D roles in the chemical industry.
Familiarity with industry-specific certifications and qualifications (e.g., OSHA certifications, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
Experience with employer branding in highly technical or regulated industries.
Certification in recruitment or HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
