Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced leader and registered teacher to join our Blue School team as a Senior Teacher. This position offers flexible working hours and conditions, a competitive salary and relocation support.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a team of quality teachers to deliver exceptional care and education for all our tamariki.
Play an integral part in decision making and the strategic direction of Blue School.
Design and deliver curricula aligned with Te Whariki and inquiry/project-based approaches.
Develop and implement strategies to improve quality practice standards and principles of Te Whariki.
Build respectful partnerships with families, whanau and aiga to improve learning outcomes for children.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience in curriculum design and delivery in line with Te Whariki and inquiry/project-based approach.
Strategic thinker with a strong focus on improving quality using internal evaluation processes.
Demonstrates an unrelenting commitment to quality practice standards and the principles of Te Whariki through role modelling of exceptional teaching practice.
Ability to inspire, develop and lead a team of talented teachers with active coaching and mentoring strategies that grow teachers' capability and strengths.
Working knowledge of Licensing Criteria, ERO processes, Teaching Council Aotearoa New Zealand Regulations and Code of Ethics.
