Process Overview
Global Markets Technology provides end-to-end technology solutions for Global Markets businesses including Equities, Prime Brokerage, Interest Rates, Currencies, Commodities, Derivatives and Structured Products. GMT solutions span across Sales, Electronic / Voice Trading, Pricing, Market Risk, Trade Workflow, Middle office, Collateral Management, Credit Risk, Post-trade confirmation, Settlement and Client service functions. In Global Business Services (GBS) GMT India, the activities we are responsible for include architecture, design, development, QA, change management, implementation and support using various enterprise technologies.
Job Description
FICC Macro Trading Tech is part of Global Markets business, cross-functional organization with developers and systems engineers, QA professionals, Product Owners/ Managers and business/technical support professionals enabling technology for the Global Macro Products viz., Currencies, Treasury products, Commodities, Emerging Markets, and derivatives. The candidate we are looking for will be managing, leading and overseeing the technology team(s) aligned to one or more of these business verticals.
The ideal candidate will have proven skills in leading / managing large scale offshore technology delivery teams. The candidate will also support the technology talent planning, project planning, execution and senior level stakeholder management. The candidate will be expected to strengthen the global engagement, and build the right capability in India to meet the current and anticipated future delivery needs.
The ideal candidate should have about 20 of experience in complex application design and development, business analysis skills, have extensive experience of project and people management in delivering technology projects. A strong understanding of Global Markets products, processes and functions will be a great addition.
Responsibilities
The candidate will work closely with the line of business and global technology stakeholders and play hands on role in planning, budgeting, and enabling technology build out to meet program and business objectives. Responsibilities include-
• Provide Strategic thought leadership and vision for the team to help achieve the defined strategic goals.
• Participate in global talent planning and collaborate with global stakeholders to layout location strategy, build strong tech capabilities in India and propel India teams to move up the tech delivery value chain.
• Establish best practices and process for people that deepens individual engagement.
• Coach and mentor team members to build capability for bigger and larger responsibilities.
• Responsible for the quality and timeliness of all project deliverables and well as the implementation of relevant project management practices (status reporting, issue tracking etc.).
• Day to day responsibility for managing the project with line, technology, and other partners.
• Manage and meet management objectives, KPI and other horizontal Initiatives (Operational Excellence, Innovation, etc.)
Requirements
• Education : BE/B.Tech/MCA/ME/M.Tech
• Certifications: Preferably in java/ Python, PMP, Scrum Master.
• Experience Range: ~20+ years
• Ideal work experience to include: Project Management, People Management, Financial Derivatives, Programing with Python or Java,
Foundational Skills
• Hands on Programming experience with Python or Java
• Strong in OOPs and design patterns
• Business knowledge on Financial markets & Financial derivatives is a must.
• Exposure in derivative functions such as pricing, risk computation, trade life cycling and post trade processing will be added advantage
• Ability to work in fast development environment and quickly adapt to the changes.
• Experience/ Knowledge in Agile development methodology
• Extensive experience in Project management
• Strong in business/software analysis and data analysis.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Desired Skills
• The candidate should have entrepreneurial spirit and be a self-starter who can work well both independently and with a global team.
• Ability to work in global virtual teams with matrix team structures.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Desired skills: Object Oriented Database
