We're looking for an experienced and collaborative Senior Wastewater Engineer who will support our Florida/Puerto Rico Water Market team, build strategic business partnerships, and deliver high-profile projects with key municipal clients in Florida and Puerto Rico. As a key member of our team, you’ll have the chance to work on challenging projects as the key technical lead for wastewater treatment projects – planning, directing, monitoring, and/or delivering all aspects of projects with high degrees of technical complexity from the concept stage through detailed design, construction services, and commissioning.   As a Senior Wastewater Engineer, you will need to understand client organizations and processes, develop and maintain consistent relationships at all organizational levels, and work to ensure that Jacobs is the consultant-of-choice for our clients.

Here’s What You Will Be Doing

You will have direct access to Jacobs’ well-known, vast network of technical specialists to support your success and career advancement.
• Work with Project Managers to develop the most suitable solutions for our client's most challenging issues.
• Be accountable for successfully completing projects to the satisfaction of clients and key stakeholders, while simultaneously ensuring that Jacobs’ business and policy expectations are met in the areas of health and safety, quality, financial, project delivery, and risk management.
• Play a leadership role in business development activities that result in the award of new wastewater contracts. This typically includes client relationship development, project-specific positioning activities, teaming arrangements, proposal preparation, and oral presentations.
• Contribute to the development of a South Florida Market Strategy that delivers leading-edge technology solutions for our clients while also actively diversifying and expanding our client base.
• Demonstrate leadership by example with integrity and candor in support of the Jacobs Culture of Caring work environment.
• Mentor and support junior staff in the local and regional water group. Our South Florida Water Group is growing!

Here's what you'll need
• B.S. or M.S. degree in related engineering.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience with Wastewater treatment design, planning, and municipal consulting.
• Progressive experience leading/overseeing small to large treatment projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE).
• Strong understanding of industry-standard tools and metrics associated with wastewater, and a proven history of leading project delivery teams to successfully meet client expectations.
• Attributes that include good oral and written communication, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis and technical problem-solving, and a strong organizational approach.
• Proven track record in developing and maintaining strong client relationships that result in the creation and procurement of new and repeat consulting work.
• Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and leading diverse teams.

Ideally, Here’s What You Will Also Have
• Strong network with Miami municipalities.
• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
