What We Look For In a Series 66 Tutor
• Advanced Test Mastery: Deep knowledge of Series 66 Uniform Combined State Law examination content covering state securities regulation, ethical practices, fiduciary obligations, investment adviser and representative registration requirements, and customer account management. Ability to explain the Uniform Securities Act, investment adviser versus broker-dealer distinctions, and unethical business practices while preparing candidates for dual state registration.
• Strategic Test-Taking & Problem-Solving: Skilled at teaching regulatory distinction analysis, ethical scenario evaluation, and registration requirement application for Series 66 examination. Guides students through distinguishing federal from state regulation, identifying unethical business practices, evaluating advisory contract requirements, and understanding exempt securities and transactions. Emphasizes regulatory detail retention and application to scenario-based examination questions.
• Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with Series 66 examination content and common challenges such as memorizing registration requirements, distinguishing similar regulatory concepts, and applying ethical standards to complex advisory scenarios. Adapts instruction using practice examinations, regulatory comparison charts, and scenario-based questions to support securities professionals preparing for combined state registration after passing the SIE and Series 7.
• Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
