Job Description
What you’ll do:
Reporting to the General Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:
Lead the team when there is no manager on duty.
Count daily cash occasionally.
Assist with cash duties, inventory and dishes as needed.
Being the team member in charge of assisting with guest and vendor issues.
Provide conflict resolution and support to both the guests and team when required.
Ensure all discounts and promos are authorizes and approved.
Communicate with the managers on shift events and flow of the team members.
Take ownership to ensure the pub remains neat and tidy
Ability to work the bar and serve to understand the entire floor operation.
Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Food Service Industry and:
Previous Shift Leader experience an asset.
Valid serving it right certificate.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external guests in a polite and engaging manner.
Must have a strong work ethic.
Conflict resolution skills.
This is a physical job requiring the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds on occasion.
Must be committed to a SAFE working environment.
Able to work varying shifts and times including afternoons, evenings and weekends.
This position is based at the Highwayman Pub South Surrey, though it may require on some occasions to travel and work at other locations as business needs arise.
