Your new role :
The Services Manager, in conjunction with the project team, develops high-level systems and strategies for building services engineering and management. They represent the Company with respect to services including tender submissions and major project delivery and are responsible for the successful services management and sub-contractors on our major projects.
Being a principal company representative on the construction site, he/she ensures safety, quality, cost, and time requirements are adhered to throughout the duration of the contract, including the maintenance period that follows.
As a key member of the project team, the Services Manager must lead by example, championing our ‘Inside the Box’ culture, providing day-to-day guidance on services to team members, whilst directly and indirectly contributing towards day-to-delivery, competitive strategy, and net margin target achievement.
Formal Qualifications & Training :
A tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
10+ years in a Building Services role.
Experience delivering 3+ projects that are over $100m.
Experience leading teams of engineers and service managers
Building Information Modeling (BIM): An intermediate understanding of BIM and a willingness to expand this skillset is desirable.
Skills required :
Project Management and Compliance: Knowledge of Council Code Compliance regulations, inspections, and applications, as well as proficiency in administering project communications and facilitating weekly Services Coordination Meetings
Construction Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction, including technology, equipment, methods, schedule, cost, safety, and quality
Technical Proficiency: Across all Services disciplines, civil and internal buildings, and understanding of Services interfaces with Architectural and Structural Elements
Project Management Skills: Ability to review and evaluate design documents, proficiency in reading, monitoring, and updating progress with respect to Services, and capability to manage, register, and administer all Services trade contractual deliverables.
