About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sessional Tutor in Architectural Design to join our Bachelor of Applied Architecture team. You will deliver engaging and industry-relevant education in the Architectural Design 2–6 (Vertical Design Studios) subjects, supporting students in achieving their learning and career goals.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver two 3-hour design studio classes per week over a 13-week semester
Prepare and deliver one formal lecture per semester
Participate in final design presentations, marking, and moderation
Collaborate with the Design Coordinator and fellow tutors to develop and deliver the semester program
Provide academic and pastoral support to students
Supervise students during class excursions
Maintain timely communication and complete marking within 10 days
Skills and Experience Required
Master’s Degree in Architecture (or equivalent)
Demonstrated higher education teaching experience
Commitment to architectural education and student engagement
Desirable:
Minimum 5 years in architectural practice or running a practice
Strong connections to the architectural profession
Evidence of current scholarship or non-traditional research outputs
Additional Requirements
Successful candidate will be required to provide:
A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
A National Police Check
