Shift Supervisor in Training – Manufacturing
Full time shift supervisor in training for a busy pallet repair company. Responsible for the overall output and oversight of 20 employees that includes production, shipper/receiver, custodian. Trains employees, plans, assigns and directs work. Performance appraisals; resolves problems. Inventory control counts conducted after each shift.
Salary:
$26/hr. plus paid benefits following probationary period.
Responsibilities:
• Analyzes work orders to determine production schedules and delivery loads
• Prepares work tickets; inspects product and assembly line to ensure quality standards
• Works with other supervisors to coordinate flow of material and products
• Estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
• Recommends improvements to production, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems and assists workers in solving work problems.
• Initiates and suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
• Maintains time and productions records.
• Conducts quality audits, sanitation inspection, and monitors all priority loads.
• Responsible for product count and control, entering of data each shift.
• Responsible for managing the entire building during their shift – including safety, heating, cooling.
Qualifications:
• 1-2 years in a supervisory role in a production or manufacturing environment is required.
• Mechanically inclined preferred; general understanding of high-speed production equipment.
• Solid computer skills required to manage scheduling, production, inventory counts and controls.
• Demonstrated organization, collaboration and commitment a must.
• Ability to troubleshoot manpower and production issues that may arise.
• Approachable management style, good communication skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $26.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• Weekends as needed
