About Us: Klo Lab is your local friendly fabricator, specializing in friction-fit furniture & plastic fabrication. Our wheelhouse includes custom retail furniture & fixtures, custom panels, and plastic fabrication. We've been delivering top-notch custom solutions to our clients for 14 years.
Your Role: As a Fabrication Shop Helper, you'll be an essential part of our team, supporting the fabrication process from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with various tasks, including sanding and preparing parts for assembly
Helping the Machinist with loading sheet materials on to the CNC
Receiving and unloading materials delivered to the shop
Preparing materials and workstations for woodworking projects, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the workshop
Completing quality control by double checking measurements and specs of projects before pick up or delivery
Checking and weighing materials and products
Finishing and staining wood
Prepping and packing orders for pick up and shipping
Collaborating closely with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Assembling furniture & plexiglass plinths and boxes
Qualifications:
Highschool diploma and post secondary education
A valid driver's license
Previous experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment (minimum 1 year)
Experience with laser engravers is not required but is an asset
Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and adapt
Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with colleagues
Dedication to safety and following established procedures and guidelines
