Armtec Inc. has the following career opportunity in Calgary, Alberta:
SKILLED LABOURER
Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, the Skilled Labourer is responsible for a variety of tasks related to steel pipe manufacturing.
• Operate recorr and rolling machines
• Weld couplers and fittings
• Utilize plasma arc and cutting torches.
• Assists in inspections and repair of equipment.
• Maintains a clean, uncluttered and safe work area as designated.
Education and Experience:
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent mature student diploma with good skills in reading, writing and math.
• Some experience in a manufacturing environment, an asset.
Abilities and Skills:
• Demonstrated use of personal protective clothing and equipment.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Must be a team player willing to take direction and suggest efficiencies.
• Ability to safely operate power equipment.
• Ability to understand metric and imperial measurements.
• Combinations of education and experience will be considered.
