Novell is an award-winning custom fine homebuilder with a great culture, passionate leadership team, and a design-build approach to new homes, multiplexes, laneways and renovations. We are seeking a dedicated Skilled Labourer to join our dynamic team.
This role is vital to the successful completion of various construction, maintenance, and installation projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent physical stamina, willingness to learn, and the ability to perform a variety of manual tasks with precision and safety.

Responsibilities
Assist with construction, renovation, and maintenance tasks according to project specifications
Perform a wide range of skilled labouring tasks across the entire construction process, including rough sitework, framing, drywall but with a focus on finishing (tilesetting, finish carpentry, fixturing, painting)
Operate hand tools and power equipment safely and efficiently
Load and unload materials and supplies required for various projects
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Maintain cleanliness of work areas and properly store tools and equipment after use
Job Requirements
Reliability is a must.
2-5 years prior experience in construction, carpentry, or general labour preferred but training will be provided for motivated candidates
Ability to operate basic hand tools and power equipment safely
Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 80 pounds) regularly
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Strong English oral communication skills. Communicating with a thoughtful, positive and respectful demeanour is a must.
Own basic hand tools, own vehicle - own basic PPE / safety wear and weather-appropriate gear including steel toe boots, hard hat, gloves, rain suit
Valid driver’s license required; reliable own transportation is preferred
