Responsibilities
• Planning and executing social media strategies under the guidance of the Spudnik Leadership team to build the Spudnik Farms brand and improve the company’s social media presence and engagement.
• Creating and publishing new social media content (including original text, images, video) that builds meaningful new customer connections, increases brand awareness and encourages superior engagement with the Spudnik brand.
• Creating visually appealing and well-researched posts on sustainable agriculture, climate resilience, seasonality, native/local produce etc that can serve as a source of inspiration for our audience and helps establish Spudnik Farms as a knowledge leader in this space.
• Transforming Spudnik’s online audience into loyal customers with exciting, relevant and responsible social media interactions - The goal is build a strong online community that not only buys our products but also engages with us on social media and actively promotes the Spudnik brand within their personal networks.
• Creating social media campaigns for events, launches and seasons with a view to boosting engagement and sales.
• Sending out regular emailers and key communications to customers with engaging information on Spudnik Farms’ activities, events and plans.
• Building and managing a collaborator base with other players, professionals, influencers, etc in the media, food and agriculture space to expand social media reach of Spudnik Farms and increase audience engagement.
• Identifying media/ publicity opportunities, maintaining existing media relations, and promoting positive public awareness of Spudnik Farms through external communications and help establish Spudnik Farms as a knowledge leader.
• Managing social media paid promotions, adwords and SEO and suggesting content optimization.
• Tracking metrics, analysing market data including campaign results, conversions etc to measure the success of every social media campaign, understand what’s working, what’snot, and reinforce or refocus key messages accordingly. Also, use these insights/ information to shape future marketing strategies.
Qualifications
• Bachelors degree preferably with a focus on Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Public Relations and/or Business Administration.
• Comfortable with designing, executing and tracking successful digital marketing campaigns (SEM/SEO, email marketing, social media campaigns), integrated marketing campaigns, mobile marketing, and direct marketing campaigns.
• At least 3 years of relevant marketing experience with a successful track record in planning integrated marketing strategies and executing campaigns.
• Proven track record of success in achieving targets on time in a rapid growth and start-up environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft, Word and Excel as well as content creation tools such as Adobe Spark and Canva.
• Excellent communication skills in English including writing, editing, storytelling etc
• Refined aesthetic sense with a knack for visuals and a strong sense of who the segment audience is and how to deliver content that appeals to them.
• Competence with networking tools, such as Hootsuite, Sprout, Buffer etc to manage multiple social media accounts efficiently.
• SEO and marketing skills with a focus on trend awareness, keyword optimization, understanding digital analytics, tracking competitor advertising links etc.
• Relentlessness in driving growth and able to embrace and tackle challenges
• Able to work independently and effectively engage and influence relevant stakeholders to achieve targets.
• Resourceful and creative in coming up with ideas that complement different channels to reach, engage and grow the business.
• Highly detail-oriented to ensure the quality of all marketing materials and communications.
• Experience in agriculture / food industry (Post-harvest or sales/marketing) is a plus
• Experience in media/ public relations companies will be an added advantage
