Demetres is on the hunt for a Social Media Marketing & Content Creation Summer Intern to join us this summer. This is your chance to be part of a dessert brand that’s all about indulgence, artistry, and unforgettable experiences. We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about desserts to help craft and share our sweetest stories across digital platforms— from behind-the-scenes R&D magic to mouthwatering menu drops.
About Us:
Founded in 1+8+, Demetres has redefined the dessert scene across the GTA with 11 iconic locations. We’ve evolved beyond the plate— from launching our own ice cream boutiques (Scooped by Demetres) to stocking our pints in local grocery stores. Creativity, quality, and craftsmanship are baked into everything we do, and we’re just getting started.
About the Role:
Based at our corporate head office and R&D facility in Vaughan, you'll help bring our brand to life online. Whether you’re capturing behind-the-scenes content, spotlighting new menu items, or supporting our latest brand activation. We’re looking for someone who’s not just passionate about desserts, but who also understands the sweet spot of marketing and storytelling. Join us in making the world a sweeter place, one dessert at a time.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with our marketing team to develop and produce content across Instagram, TikTok, and beyond
Craft engaging digital content that aligns with our brand voice and marketing objectives
Support content planning, scheduling, and publishing across platforms
Track key performance metrics of marketing campaigns and provide insights to help guide strategy
Engage with our social community to build relationships and strengthen brand loyalty
Assist with influencer outreach and UGC collaborations
Play an active role in the planning and execution of special events and brand activations
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in marketing, communications, media production, or a related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in editing tools like CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or other platforms
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
Strong understanding of marketing strategy and how to effortlessly connect with an audience through engaging content
Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Access to reliable transportation to visit our restaurant locations and attend off-site events
Flexibility to occasionally work weekends and evenings depending on business needs
