Role Objective
To foster a deep understanding of history, geography, economics, civics, and related disciplines among students while developing their critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. The teacher should inspire curiosity about society, culture, governance, and the environment, nurturing responsible and informed citizens.
Key Responsibilities
• Curriculum Delivery
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons as per the prescribed curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/State/IGCSE/IB as applicable).
• Integrate innovative teaching methodologies including project-based learning, discussions, role plays, and case studies.
• Use real-life examples and current events to make concepts relatable.
• Student Engagement & Development
• Encourage inquiry, debate, and independent thinking in class.
• Assess and monitor student progress through tests, assignments, and projects.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to enhance learning outcomes.
• Classroom Management
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Ensure discipline while nurturing respect, collaboration, and teamwork.
• Assessment & Evaluation
• Prepare question papers, evaluate answer scripts, and maintain academic records.
• Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support to students.
• Co-curricular Integration
• Guide students in preparing for Social Science exhibitions, debates, quizzes, and model-making.
• Encourage participation in national events like Republic Day, Independence Day, and cultural activities that link to Social Sciences.
• Professional Growth & Collaboration
• Participate in teacher training programs, workshops, and departmental meetings.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate cross-curricular activities.
• Parent & School Engagement
• Communicate progress, strengths, and areas of improvement with parents.
• Contribute to the overall development initiatives of the school.
Skills & Qualities Required
• Strong subject knowledge in History, Geography, Civics, and Economics.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to simplify complex concepts for students.
• Passion for teaching and mentoring young learners.

• Familiarity with digital tools and smart classroom techniques.
