Role Overview:
As a Software Testing Engineer at a Funded healthcare data and application integration platform, your mission will be to drive engineering excellence by building automated test suites that ensure the reliability of the platform. Your key responsibilities will include advanced automation & contract testing, healthcare compliance & security, CI/CD integration, performance engineering, and exploratory & regression testing. The team prioritizes quality over quantity and follows the Shape Up methodology for impactful work delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated test suites (unit, integration, and E2E) while leading the implementation of contract testing frameworks (e.g., Pact) to ensure seamless service integration.
- Validate strict adherence to interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, DICOM) and test Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) to secure sensitive patient data.
- Collaborate with developers to embed automated tests directly into GitLab CI/CD pipelines for real-time validation and rapid feedback loops.
- Execute performance and load testing strategies to ensure the platform handles high data volumes effectively and stably.
- Balance automation with critical manual exploratory testing to catch edge cases and ensure regression stability before releases.

Qualifications Required:
- 5+ years of experience in software testing with a strong mix of hands-on automation and manual testing.
- Proficiency in designing frameworks using tools like Cypress or Selenium and coding in TypeScript, JavaScript, Go, or Java.
- Proven experience in implementing contract testing frameworks like Pact.
- Comfortable working with Cloud environments (AWS), containers (Docker/K8s), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Possess strong analytical skills and thrive in cross-functional teams.
