THE ROLE…
Reporting to the IT Program Delivery Manager, the Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using both front-end and back-end technologies. You’ll manage and optimise APIs to ensure seamless performance and integration, while also implementing best practices for code quality, security, and performance.
Key responsibilities for this role will also include:
Developing and maintaining modern web applications using front-end and back-end technologies
Managing and optimising APIs for seamless performance and integration
Implementing best practices for code quality, security, and system performance
Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues across the full stack
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse requirements
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers
THE PERSON…
The ideal candidate is a highly organised and detail-oriented professional with a strong ability to coordinate multiple tasks, manage timelines, and support project execution. They are an excellent communicator, capable of working collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure projects run smoothly.
The successful candidate will also possess:
Proven experience as a Software Engineer, working across the full-stack
Strong knowledge of front-end and back-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, React, Node.js, Python, etc.)
Experience in API development and optimisation
Ability to write clean, efficient, and secure code
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
A passion for continuous learning and staying ahead of industry trends
