We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in APAC at Sydney or Melbourne, Australia.

Job Purpose:

Implement best local/sub-regional category strategies with a strong focus on transport sourcing. Ensure identification of best-in-class suppliers, lead negotiations for transport-related contracts, and maintain compliance with DHL policies.
Your tasks:

Develop and execute sub-regional transport sourcing strategies aligned with procurement objectives and business priorities.
Manage multi-modal transport sourcing (road, rail, intermodal) with a focus on cost optimisation, sustainability, and resilience.
Drive supplier relationship management for strategic transport partners to foster innovation, ESG compliance, and long-term value creation.
Conduct market intelligence and benchmarking to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities in transport categories.
Ensure risk mitigation and capacity planning for critical transport lanes and support contingency strategies for supply chain resilience.
Collaborate with global/regional category leads to leverage scale, harmonize sourcing practices, and deliver synergies across regions.
Support network design and strategic initiatives that enhance service quality, operational efficiency, and sustainability goals.
Lead strategic negotiations and contract structuring for high-value transport agreements, ensuring compliance and governance.
Champion continuous improvement and innovation through digital enablement, process optimisation, and adoption of new transport solutions.
Align sourcing activities with business strategy, ensuring measurable value contribution and stakeholder satisfaction.
Your profile:

Proven experience in contract management, procurement, or supply chain roles, preferably within the transport sector.
Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing vendor relationships.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in relevant software tools and contract management systems.
Education Level:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
Additional qualification such as MBA is an added advantage.
Experience Level:

More than 3 years within a similar Transportation sourcing role, or more than 5 years of experience within a supply chain operations role
