Qualifications:
• Valid state certification in Special Education
• Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Prior experience working with students with diverse learning needs
• Strong knowledge of IEP process and documentation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt instructional techniques to meet individual student needs
• Familiarity with behavior management and intervention strategies
Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students
• Modify curriculum to address a variety of learning styles and abilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administration to ensure student success
• Assess and track student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting as needed
• Engage with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and strategies for support
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and independence
• Participate in professional development sessions, team meetings, and school initiatives
