A special education teaching position is available to provide virtual instruction for a hospital homebound student. This role offers an opportunity to deliver specialized support in a flexible, remote learning environment.
Location: Jesup, GA (Virtual)
Assignment Duration: March 16, 2026 June 3, 2026
Hours: Approximately 3 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver customized instruction and support to a hospital homebound student according to their individualized education plan (IEP).
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, parents, and school staff to ensure continuity of learning.
• Monitor and document student progress and adapt teaching strategies as needed.
• Maintain compliance with special education regulations and best practices in virtual settings.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Active Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GAPSC) certification/license with appropriate special education endorsements.
• Experience teaching special education students, preferably in homebound or virtual settings.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage students and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to outlined schedules and educational goals.
