Job Description
JCS was established in November 1+++ (under a management organization) as a K-12 non-classroom based charter school. In 2000, the School, as a 501(c)(3) organization, incrementally began taking ownership of curriculum, instruction and assessment; finance, facilities, and business management; and organization, governance, and administration becoming a fully independent, direct funded, incorporated charter school by the 2002-2003 school year.
From inception, the School was designed to meet the needs of students under served by traditional delivery systems of education or for families with a strong desire to home school.
The School received an initial charter for two years and has had three additional five-year renewals.
Job Summary
The Special education Teacher will provide quality services to special education students grades kindergarten through grade twelve. Planning and implementation of student programs includes special instruction, tutorial assistance, and consultation to general education staff.
Requirements / Qualifications
Copy of Transcript (Please provide copies of transcripts for all college coursework completed. Unofficial copies are acceptable.)
CPR/First Aid Certification (Current CPR certification required.)
OR Other (Candidates who do not have current CPR certification may submit a document stating they will obtain CPR certification upon offer of employment.)
Credential Copy
Letter of Introduction
Letter(s) of Recommendation (We require three (3) letters of recommendation. These must be PDF or JPG files, copies of actual letters on the author's letterhead and signed by the auther. E-mails or text files are not acceptable.)
Resume
Other (Candidates who do not have current TB results dated within 6 months of application date may submit a document stating they will obtain a TB test upon offer of employment.)
OR TB Screening Result (Current negative TB screening results required, dated within 6 months of application.)

JCS-Mountain Oaks is currently seeking a Full-time Special Education Teacher serving students with special needs at our school located in Encinitas, CA. Consideration for an Intern is also possible if a MOU is filed with the school.
