Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: West Drayton, Greater London.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £55, 415 - £60,000
MLK Education Search are seeking to appoint an experienced SEN Teacher join a newly established independent school located in the heart of Harmondsworth, West Drayton. They cater to children aged 5-11 with severe learning difficulties and Autism.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan engaging and enjoyable sessions to maximize learner engagement.
• Develop and implement Personalized Learning Plans (PLPs) for students.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents.
• Monitor and record student progress and attendance.
• Assist learners in developing self-regulation skills where needed.
• Manage a pathway, providing direct line management for the classes within it.
• Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to review the Quality of Education within the pathway.
• Oversee pastoral and positive behavior strategies and systems to enhance engagement and learning within the pathway.
Qualifications:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven experience teaching SEN children, particularly those with severe learning difficulties and autism.
• Experience with the EQUALS curriculum is beneficial.
• Familiarity with non-linear developmental assessment frameworks (e.g., Routes for Learning, SCERTS) is advantageous.
• Passion for working with SEN children.
• Ability to manage Teachers and Teaching Assistants.
