Job Description
We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Special Educator to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Special Educator, you will work with children who have special needs and provide support in a variety of areas to help them achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement individualized education plans for children with special needs
• Work collaboratively with other professionals, including therapists and psychologists, to provide comprehensive support
• Provide direct instruction and support to children in a variety of settings, including one-on-one, and small group discussion
• Monitor child's progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding child's progress and goals
• Maintain accurate records and data on child's progress and instructional strategies
• In addition to the qualifications listed above, knowledge and experience in therapy for autism is highly desirable for this position.
The ideal candidate should have experience in designing and implementing individualized therapy plans for children with autism, as well as knowledge of behavioral interventions for managing challenging behaviors.
Qualifications
• Diploma in Special Education
• Must be registered with RCI
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team of professionals
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of individual students
