Job Summary:
• Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver physical education lessons that promote physical activity, teamwork, and healthy competition.
- Organize and supervise inter-school and intra-school sports events, tournaments, and extracurricular activities.
- Encourage participation in physical fitness programs and maintain a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Assess students' progress and provide feedback to help them improve their physical abilities.
- Demonstrate exercises and sports techniques to students and ensure active participation.
- Ensure all sports equipment is maintained and handled properly.
- Promote the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle among students.
- Follow school policies and guidelines related to physical education and safety procedures.
• Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed), Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports (B.P.E.S.), or an equivalent qualification.
- A Master’s degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed) is preferred for higher-level teaching roles.
• Professional Qualifications:
- Certificate or diploma courses in coaching or sports management from recognized institutions are advantageous.
- Participation in state or national-level sports or previous coaching experience will be valued.
• Experience:
- 1-3 years of teaching or coaching experience in a school or sports academy is preferred.
• Skills:
- Strong understanding of various sports, rules, and physical fitness training.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students and staff.
- Ability to plan and organize physical education classes, sports events, and fitness programs.
• Other Requirements:
- Physical fitness and the ability to demonstrate exercises and sports activities.
- Basic knowledge of first aid is required.
