Job Description:
We are searching for a passionate and experienced sports coach to join Unbound Sports. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the RISE Program, our school enablement initiative through sports, in a private school. You will receive regular mentoring and training to ensure the program's smooth execution. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in other sporting events and programs outside of school hours. This position offers a great opportunity for someone looking to immerse themselves in the grassroots sports ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports, with experience coaching students in various sports activities. The coach will be responsible for implementing the RISE Program that focuses on 5 key areas:
Promoting holistic well-being
Inclusivity
Life Skills Development
Exposure to International Standards
Building a Lifelong Culture of Sports
Responsibilities:
Manage execution of RISE Program at the school level.
Conduct training sessions within school hours in different sports that require functional knowledge of different sports.
Be a part of school SMC to participate in decision making, promotion of sports, and planning of sports events at a school level.
Ensure the safety of students during sports activities and adhere to all safety guidelines.
Attend curriculum and leadership training sessions by Unbound Sports.
Be part of events conducted by the company outside school hours.
Maintain sports equipment and facilities in good condition.
Provide feedback and support to students to help them improve their performance and achieve their goals.
Keep abreast of the latest developments in sports coaching techniques and methodologies.
What will you do?
Physical Fitness :
Running the sports classes at the location as per the requirement.
Develop fitness programs and conditioning routines to improve student physical strength, agility, and endurance
Skill Assessment :
Identifying strengths and weaknesses of students and evaluating them.
Regularly assess and evaluate the progress and performance of students to identify areas for improvement.
Implement age-appropriate training sessions to enhance students' sports skills
Sports Events Coordination (Occasionally):
Organize and coordinate sports events, intramural activities, and inter-school competitions, both locally and internationally.
Others :
Maintaining sports equipment.
Undertaking other tasks such as administrative tasks, reporting, etc.
Keep abreast of the latest developments in sports coaching techniques and methodologies
Be part of events conducted by the company outside school hours.
Qualifications:
Preferred candidates should have a BPED/MPED degree, completed or pursuing, in Physical Education or a relevant field.
Preference will be given to candidates with a BPED/MPED or any sports training certification with national or international game participation.
Applicants with international game participation without any BPED/MPED are also welcomed.
Requirements:
Freshers with an entrepreneurial inclination are welcomed.
Ideal candidates should have 0 to 3 years of experience working in schools or any other professional training setup.
Brownie points for candidates who have expertise in Cricket training.
