• Must have experience in MSSQL
• Exposure in Azure cloud will be preferred
• Working closely with IT to support physical database administration including performance management, security, installations, upgrades, patches, backup, recovery, space management, performance tuning and capacity planning
• Ensure that all databases environments are deployed, maintained and managed via proactive monitoring of performance and capacity planning of RDBMS
• Maintain backup and recovery process, including disaster recovery performance and tuning of database and application
• Managing database backup and recovery
• Managing database security, roles, and profiles
• Knowledge of Office365, Windows, and Linux operating systems, networking, and database systems.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems.
• Ensure data requirements have been identified, design is fully normalized, and database complies with industry best practices and strict security requirements
• Should have knowledge of basic SQL queries and PowerShell scripting
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend new solutions to improve system performance and efficiency.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
• 3+ years as a Database Administrator
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems quickly and effectively.
• Continuously learn and stay up to date on new technologies, products, and services
