SQL Database Administrator

Role: SQL DBA

Exp: 5 yrs - 10 yrs

Key skills required: SQL DBA with experience in AWS and Azure both

Location: Mumbai / Bangalore (Hybrid post 1-2 months)

Budget: Up to 27 Lacs

Strong communication skill is mandatory

Key Responsibilities:

 Database Management: Oversee the lifecycle of our databases ensuring optimal performance, storage efficiency, and minimal downtime.

 Inventory & Cleanup: Conduct regular database inventory and cleanup processes to maintain data quality, reduce redundancies, and optimize storage.

 Maintenance & Scaling: Plan and implement maintenance strategies, tuning, backups, and disaster recovery. Prepare databases for scalable performance in line with business demands.

 Cloud Best Practices: Apply industry-standard best practices for cloud database management on AWS and Azure.

 DevOps Collaboration: Work closely with the DevOps team to streamline deployment pipelines, manage configurations, and support CI/CD processes.

 Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize database performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements.

 Security & Compliance: Ensure databases comply with company security standards and relevant regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

 Proven experience as a Database Administrator with Microsoft SQL Server.

 Familiarity with AWS and Azure cloud platforms and best practices for managing cloud databases.

 Knowledge of database management, optimization, and scaling techniques.

 Experience with DevOps tools and practices, especially within CI/CD environments.

 Strong troubleshooting skills for complex database issues.

 Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
