Job Description:
SQL Server L3 Requirement:
· The role will be involved in support of highly critical production environment and will be engaged in architecture, design, and deployment of midrange systems along with a team of technically competent professionals.
· Understanding and Performing tasks related to Implementation, Design installation and configuration of all Database products.
· Coordinate and manage multiple problems and projects with different teams at the same time
· Analyze all aspects of the existing infrastructure and recommend modifications that will enhance system reliability, availability, serviceability, and scalability
· Work with teammates, clients, and other teams to identify and address systems problems
· Translates highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences
· Demonstrate ownership and responsibility in all assignments
· Enough expertise to identify and recommend changes/improvements to the process and infrastructure design.
· Provide L4 & L3 level support on premise/ Azure/ AWS
· In-depth knowledge of performance tuning
· Candidate must have the ability to create business cases and present the architecture and design that they create
· Demonstrated experience in leading projects, implementation teams and clients in Database configuration and assessment services, requirements gathering, storage implementations, data migration and application testing
· Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently
· Ability to participate and contribute during crisis times, assist team members/leads/customer/Senior management, as needed
· Show adaptability and flexibility in work to suit business requirements
Technical / professional qualifications:
· Evaluate the Database Server Hardware/Software.
· Define/Recommend/Maintain database Standards and Architecture.
· Future Release management for database/instance and Impact Analysis.
· Research/Recommend Migration/Upgradation
· Installation & Configuration of MS SQL Server 2008R2/2012/2014/2016/2017/2026
· Configuration knowledge in Advanced features of SQL Server 2012/2014/2016/2017/2026
· Develop, implement, administer and maintain security and integrity of the Application databases.
· Advance Database Performance Tuning - Instance, Database, OS Parameters
· Should be able to perform database reorganization
· Recommend and Review Backup and Recovery Strategies
· Good Working experience of Installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting of Failover Clustering, Always on Availability, Mirroring, Log shipping,
· Having experience of DR setup through various synch methods.
· Designing strategy towards Capacity Management (Growth) for DB tracks.
· Recommending Database Security Policy, Auditing
· Awareness of latest database trends and Technologies
· Configuration experience in SQL Server Integration Services
· Configuration experience in SQL Server Reporting Services
· Knowledge in Cloud Integration
Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:
· In-depth understanding of technical technologies
· Extensive hands-on technical skills to cover installation, configuration, administration and advanced troubleshooting
· Experience of working within a Service environment and technical teams of IT experts
· Experience of working on ITIL ticketing systems (SNOW, Remedy), understand ITIL framework
· Experience in representation in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings
· Experience of being able to highlight issues and solutions
· Strong verbal/written communication skills
