• Perform DBA related tasks in key areas of System Administration, Database Administration, Backup, Archive & Restore Management, Performance Management & Reporting.
• Manage Production/Development databases in areas like Capacity Planning, Performance Monitoring & Tuning, Strategies Defined for Backup/Recovery Techniques, Space/ User/ Security Management Along with Problem Determination and Resolution.
• Ability to write T-SQL & PL/pgSQLand exposure to query tuning.
• Should have good understanding of data archive/restore policies.
• Good Inter-personal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Server installation, operations, maintenance, and upgrading procedures.
• Hands On experience in using third party tools to monitor PostgreSQL server performance.
• Hands On experience in configuring and maintenance of HADR solutions like logshipping, replication, AlwaysOn.
• Ability to write PowerShell scripting is a plus.
• Some NoSQL experience is a plus.
• Dba task automation and related scripting (e.g., shell scripting, Powershell)
• AWS experience.
• Experience using agile project management and related tools (e.g., Jira). Willingness to learn new tools.
• Should have AWS RDS experience, understand performance optimization, ensuring system stability, clearing blocking sessions, monitoring and ability to generate alerts, etc
