We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team at Tata Consultancy Services.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administration tasks, with experience in managing SQL Server databases, configuring and maintaining database servers and processes, and monitoring system health and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage SQL Server databases to ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security.
• Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real-time, providing suggestions for solutions.
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
• Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement.
• Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems, performing scheduled maintenance and supporting release deployment activities after hours.
Requirements:
• 6-+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA or similar role.
• 6-+ years of experience with MySQL Server Administration, Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), backups, restores, and recovery models.
• 6-+ years of experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server, Windows server, including Active Directory.
• Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company's success.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, good time-management skills, great interpersonal and communication skills.
• MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications a plus.
Preferred Skills:
• Good knowledge of ITIL v3 process and certification.
• Knowledge of service management tools and methodologies.
• Willingness to work on-call support.
• Good to have Azure PaaS knowledge.
