We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL Team Lead to drive our data strategy and support business objectives through efficient and effective database management.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and mentor a team of SQL developers, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Conduct performance reviews and support the professional development of team members.
• Develop and maintain complex T-SQL stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views on Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and above.
• Design and implement efficient and scalable database schemas that can be utilized across multiple customers.
• Develop and maintain SSIS packages for data integration and ETL processes.
• Implement and manage database security measures.
• Design and develop underlying data models and databases to support business requirements.
• Create and maintain data dictionaries and metadata to ensure data consistency and integrity.
• Ensure data quality and implement data validation processes.
• Perform comprehensive performance tuning and query optimization to ensure optimal database performance.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
• Monitor database performance and implement proactive measures to prevent issues.
• Ensure compliance with established coding standards and conventions.
• Conduct thorough quality checks on reports and data exports to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Implement and maintain data governance policies and procedures.
• Analyze and resolve complex database issues independently and efficiently.
• Provide timely and effective support for production database issues.
• Document solutions and best practices.
• Work within a Scrum/Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with product owners and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Work with Microsoft Reporting Services(SSRS) to create reports.
• Contribute to the implementation of data visualization tools like Qlik/Qlik Sense
Required Skills and Qualifications
• 8-10 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server development.
• Expertise in T-SQL programming, including stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Strong experience in database design, data modeling, and schema development.
• Proficient in developing and maintaining SSIS packages.
• Experience in performance tuning and query optimization.
• Solid understanding of database administration principles.
• Experience with data dictionary and metadata management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
