Robert Half currently has a vacancy for a permanent Senior Accountant to bring their leadership skills and experience to a growing finance team in the Tampa, Florida area. As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This position offers you great long-term potential and a strong compensation and benefits package. Key responsibilities
• Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
• Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
• Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
• Partake in various department-wide initiatives
• Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes
• Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
• Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
• Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
• Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Requirements
• Journal entries experience required
• Month end closings experience
• Deep understanding of Sage Intacct
• Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
• Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
• Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
• Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
• Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
• 5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
• Current and relevant ERP system experience
• Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
• Great attention to detail
• Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
