Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably as a Sr
Advanced knowledge of accounting software such as NetSuite, SAP, and Oracle Cloud
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
In-depth understanding of Account Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Familiarity with Month End Close processes
Knowledge of Revenue Recognition, Project Accounting, and Project Budgets is necessary
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to work independently

Responsibilities
This role involves overseeing financial activities related to service projects, collaborating with project managers, and developing cost accounting systems

Work closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to establish project budgets and monitor financial performance throughout the project lifecycle
Develop and maintain project cost accounting systems, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
Prepare and present project cost reports, financial analyses, and budget updates to project stakeholders
Provide guidance and support to project teams on financial matters, ensuring adherence to financial goals
Lead and coordinate on Services absorption globally, reconcile absorption hours
Collaborate with the Revenue accounting team
Coordinate with the Cost Accounting team on areas that impact Long Project accounting and other assigned areas of responsibility
Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure accuracy and integrity of project cost
Expertise in General Ledger and Journal Entries

We are searching for a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Waltham, Massachusetts. This role involves overseeing financial activities related to service projects, collaborating with project managers, and developing cost accounting systems. This is a long term contract employment opportunity that does involve transitioning to permanent employment.

Responsibilities

Requirements
