Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations. This includes preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and providing guidance to junior accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage and perform month-end and year-end close processes.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy and completeness of all transactions.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Provide support during internal and external audits.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data accuracy and support business initiatives.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3+ years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Previous experience in agriculture or manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
