Location: Onsite (San Luis Obispo, CA)
Key Responsibilities
Support monthly financial close processes and reporting
Reconcile general ledger accounts, research variances, and maintain audit-ready documentation
Reconcile bank and credit card statements
Prepare monthly accruals and deferrals in accordance with GAAP
Maintain employee accounts in Unanet (ERP) for new hires, rate changes, project assignments, and other updates as needed
Create and post labor cost for semi-monthly payroll cycle, verify inputs in Unanet and post payroll journal entries
Assist in preparation for internal, financial, or DCAA audits
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate labor distribution and cost tracking
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
8+ years of accounting experience with 3–5 years in a government contracting environment
Working experience in Unanet ERP (GovCon)
Strong understanding of GAAP and DCAA compliance requirements
Advanced in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulas
US Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with indirect rate structures (fringe, overhead, G&A)
Previous participation in external audits or DCAA reviews
Familiarity with timekeeping compliance and labor distribution rules
Knowledge of revenue recognition for government contracts (e.g., T&M, CPFF, FFP contracts)
