Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing general accounting practices, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. The ideal candidate will be based in Ghaziabad, possess their own vehicle, and be ready to commute as needed for banking work. A solid understanding of accounting principles and prior experience in a senior accounting role is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• General Ledger Management:
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Month-End and Year-End Closing:
• Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis:
• Prepare and analyze financial data for internal and external stakeholders, including management and regulatory authorities.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Audit and Compliance:
• Coordinate and prepare for internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and relevant tax regulations.
• Stay up to date on changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Tax Filing and Reporting:
• Support the preparation and submission of corporate tax returns, ensuring adherence to all deadlines.
• Handle tax-related matters, including VAT, sales tax, and payroll tax filings.
• Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting department and implement best practices.
• Assist in system upgrades, automation, and ERP improvements to streamline accounting operations.
• Accounts Payable/Receivable Oversight:
• Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and timely payments/receipts.
• Mentoring & Team Leadership:
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
• Assist in developing team capabilities and ensuring a collaborative working environment.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with tax regulations and audit preparation.
