Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Manages and oversees accounting functions.
• Supervises and schedules staff in organization support operations.
• Assists Finance Director in staffing decisions in the Finance Department.
• Assists with performance evaluations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Maintains full integrity of all revenues, ensuring organization policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations, are followed.
• Oversees capital assets projects, ensuring organization's goals are being met.
• Compiles fiscal estimates and prepares fiscal reports as requested.
• Ensures compliance with accounting procedures through observation, supervision, and testing.
• Develops procedures that ensure collections are complete and current.
• Performs other related duties as requested.
• Tracking cash flow
• Performing risk management
• Delegating financial activities
• Producing financial reports/financial reporting
• Analyzing the business's financial position
• Enhancing the capital structure
• Overseeing financial data and compliance
• Building the company's financial strengths
• Identifying useful financial technology
• Overseeing finance personnel and tasks
• Collaborating with senior managers and the management team/C-suite
• Acting as a financial controller
• Analyzing the corporate structure
• Liaising with regulatory entities
• Obtaining funding
• Assessing the company's financial state
• Advanced decision-making including pricing and company growth strategy
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent managerial skills and ability to evaluate the work of others.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of organizations applicable financial practices and procedures, as well as a thorough understanding of state and federal rules and regulations.
• Proficient with accounting software and standard office and accounting equipment.
• Able to exercise sound judgment
• Excellent grasp of forecasting and data analysis methods
• In-depth knowledge of risk management and corporate financial law
Education and Experience:
• A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Business Studies, Mathematics, or Economics
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Certification highly preferred.
• Five years of management experience in finance with a similar organization or with a major CPA firm in a senior managerial position
The relevant experience might include at least ten years of experience in finance and work in a financial management position, where the individual has developed their business acumen, strategic thinking, and commercial mindset
