Job Description

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, or other relevant field
Minimum of 8 years of experience
Expertise in designing and building cloud native applications (microservices, function apps, and cloud databases, primarily on the Microsoft tech stack)
Expertise in .NET technology stack (.NET Framework, .NET Core, , C#, , LINQ, Entity Framework, Dapper)
Expertise in building services REST / SOAP
Expertise in database design and development with SQL Server (DDL, DML commands, tables, views, stored procedures, functions, indexes, Dynamic SQL), handling huge data, performance optimization, and debugging techniques
Experience managing global teams
Experience with writing business logic with an optimal performance approach in C# and SQL
Experience building custom, net new solutions from the ground up
Experience working with modern frontend frameworks such as Angular, DevExpress, AG Grid, and other UI component libraries
Strong understanding of integration services, reporting platforms, and workflow platforms
Familiarity with performance optimization techniques for data-heavy applications, Azure Services Expertise
Hands-on experience with Azure App Services (Web Apps), Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus / Event Grid / Event Hub for message queuing and event-driven architecture
Familiarity with Azure Storage (Blob, Queue, Table) and Azure Key Vault for secure secrets management
Experience with Azure API Management for securing and managing APIs, Security & Compliance
Implement Azure AD authentication, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and role-based access control (RBAC)
Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics for observability and troubleshooting, Scalability, & Performance
Experience with auto-scaling, load balancing, and performance tuning in Azure environments
Knowledge of Azure Front Door or Azure CDN for global distribution and performance optimization, Messaging & Event-Driven Architecture
Deep understanding of Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, and Event Hub for asynchronous communication and microservices orchestration
Well-versed in project management and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices
Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Core, and .NET-based backend services
Web Technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Bootstrap, AJAX, XML /JSON, REST API, JavaScript Libraries / Frameworks: Angular, D3.js, RxJS, jQuery
IDEs: Visual Studio Code, Microsoft Visual Studio
Database: Cosmos DB, Microsoft SQL Server
Version Control: GIT, CI/CD pipelines
Familiar with Azure DevOps/Boards and Agile development methodologies like Scrum and Extreme Programming
Relevant experience in the finance domain at an asset management firm is a huge plus
Base understanding of core data (assets, positions, trades, funds, marks) is a huge plus

Responsibilities
The Valuation IT team is building a platform for the Valuation and Asset Management teams for the daily, monthly, and quarterly marking of all Credit investments
This new platform will connect with multiple pricing sources to obtain marks, apply pricing rules, track the approval workflow, and integrate with various downstream applications for further processing and reporting
The Valuation IT Full Stack Developer will join our custom application developer team as a full-stack developer, with the opportunity in the future to grow into a senior architect and managerial role
This is a unique opportunity to build a new platform, from the ground up
Develop a deep understanding of the business process complexity, then creatively design and build a platform to match these needs
Work with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and proactively ask questions
Design cloud-native applications using microservices, function apps, and cloud databases, primarily on the Microsoft tech stack
Implement responsive and scalable UI components using Angular (Typescript), DevExpress, AG Grid, Bootstrap, jQuery, and similar frameworks
Optimize application performance, ensuring fast load times and smooth interactions
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility standards compliance
Build reusable components and contribute to frontend architecture decisions
Work closely with UX designer/frontend developers to ensure the application aligns with design standards
Work closely with full-stack/backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure efficient data communication and application logic
Collaborate with the broader development team to improve best practices and participate in code reviews
Build and debug full-stack applications using C#, .NET, SQL Server, Angular, and Azure services, digging into issues to discover root causes
Implement backend testing frameworks like NUnit, XUnit, Moq, etc., for unit testing application modules
Implement frontend testing frameworks like Jasmine and Karma for Frontend applications
Learn business processes and IT best practices, with the opportunity to grow into the role of senior architect and manage a team of developers
PROJECT & TEAM MANAGEMENT:
Ensure high code quality through unit testing and QA collaboration
Design and oversee automated testing strategies (unit, integration) for valuation platform components to ensure reliability and accelerate release cycles
Stay organized by updating the Azure Boards ticketing system and tracking status updates for our deliverables
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT & COMMUNICATION:
Establish and maintain effective relationships with business and technology partners
Proactively ask questions about the requirements or the business’s needs
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices
Continuously seek opportunities to improve our processes and tools
Support data governance initiatives by defining policies, standards, and best practices
