About The Role
Roku is seeking an Accountant based in Cambridge or London to be a part of the International team. The role supports our international accounting and financial operations. You will reviewing monthly payroll journals from local providers, performing month end close activities and managing a partner for the procure-to-pay process. This will be working closely with colleagues in London, US and Amsterdam. You will report to the Senior Manager of International.
The ideal candidate will have endless curiosity and can pair a global mindset with locally relevant execution. You should be a gritty problem solver and self-starter who can drive projects with the finance operations and finance tech teams within Roku to create internationally scalable processes with automation. The successful candidate will display a balance of hard and soft skills, including the ability to respond quickly to changing business needs.
What you’ll be doing
Prepare and/or review monthly payroll journals and vacation accruals for international entities
Ensuring payroll journals are correctly processed with the appropriate GL code, cost centers, codes and location. Analyze and advise stakeholders on reclasses when necessary
Prepare monthly general accruals for some of the international entities
Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and follow-up on reconciling items with relevant stakeholders
Analyze and provide comments on monthly and quarterly cost center review
Support daily finance operations processes that include: account payable review for weekly vendor payment runs, vendor management, supporting employees inquiries on processes related to expense reimbursement and procurement
Supporting in projects to drive scalable solutions utilizing automation
Participate in payroll statutory local external audits
We’re excited if you have
4+ years of functional experience with international payroll and general ledger accounting
Strong accounting knowledge with CA / ACCA / CPA / equivalent qualification
Attention to detail, with strong analytical and numerical skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required including the ability to collaborate with people at all levels.
Flexibility, pro-activeness, initiative, hands-on
Able to cope with working in a fast-paced international environment
Excellent Excel Skills
