As Princess Polly’s Sr. Accountant, Revenue & Inventory, you will participate in ensuring accuracy and timeliness of accounting, financial reporting and tax activities and implement controls, processes, and systems to enable the company to meet operational, reporting and audit requirements.
You will be a key player in helping the business scale while you further develop your career at a very progressive online fashion technology retailer.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
You will help ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures for certain key balance sheets and income statement accounts (including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, as well as performing flux analysis). Key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, revenue and inventory for retail stores and wholesale channels.
Be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring proper valuation, tracking, reporting of stock level and related costs.
Assist in managing wholesale revenue to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper financial reporting related to income.
Maintain sub-ledger including reconciliation to the general ledger.
Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation and reconciliation processes.
Collaborate with other functional areas of the Company to support the accounting close process and to drive OPEX trend analysis.
Develop, implement and maintain key policies and procedures for your area of responsibilities.
Identify risks, implement controls, and maintain proper process documentation and evidence in accordance with SOX
Support the Controller and Assistant Controller in enhancing the Company's existing accounting procedures and internal controls and seek opportunities to improve accounting operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Prepare audit schedules that are requested by the auditors to support our annual audit.
Support for ad-hoc projects as required.
If you can accomplish the above, you’ve got what it takes. Realistically though, you will have:
BS/BA Degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years accounting experience in a retail/wholesale environment, with experience in revenue and inventory accounts.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office: specifically Microsoft Excel Ex: Pivot Tables & V-Look Ups preferred
Experience with Netsuite ERP software a plus
Prior e-commerce experience is a plus
Strong accounting knowledge and an understanding of US GAAP
SALARY RANGE
95K-105K
