• Perform lifecycle management for RHEL systems, including patching, upgrades, and migrations.
• Automate system administration tasks using Ansible and scripting languages.
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to virtualization, storage, and networking.
• Administer VMware and Nutanix infrastructures, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Collaborate on code reviews and maintain version control using Git-based platforms.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to standards, runbooks, and architecture patterns.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree and eight years of experience in development or production support or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
2. Deep specialized and/or broad functional knowledge.
3. Sound understanding of business and organizational strategies and processes.

5. Ability to lead complex projects.
6. Sophisticated analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical and business problems.

Preferred Qualifications:
8+ years of experience administering Linux in enterprise environments.
Deep knowledge of RHEL 8, 9, and 10, including in-place upgrades and kernel management.
Strong understanding of Linux networking (interfaces, VLANs, routing, firewalls) and storage fundamentals (LVM, multipath, filesystems).
Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, vCenter, vMotion, and vRealize.
Proficiency in Bash and at least one of Python or Perl.
Advanced Ansible automation skills for configuration management and deployments.
Familiarity with GitHub/GitLab and code review processes.
Experience designing zero-downtime migration strategies and phased rollouts.
Knowledge of SELinux, systemd, and performance tuning.
Exposure to infrastructure-as-code patterns and compliance frameworks (CIS).
Familiarity with containerization (Podman/Docker) and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
Certifications such as RHCSA/RHCE, VMware VCP, Nutanix NCP, or Commvault Professional.
Working knowledge of Nutanix AHV, Nutanix Move, and Commvault tools.
