Job Description
Work Study
Conducts Method study to standardizing the operational work content in Gemba
Conducts Time study Quantifying (observed time study using stop watch) the standardized work content in Gemba
Performs PMTS - Predetermined Motion Time System Basic MOST (Maynard operation sequence technique (Evaluating the normal time for standard work content motions)
Layout Planning
. Ensures number of machine calculations as per cycle time
Ensures capacity calculations as per cycle time
Conducts 3P activity (Production, Preparation, Process)
Drafts layout in AutoCAD and modifies layout basis the above processes
Ergonomics
Ensures Workstation design as per ergonomics
Conducts ergonomics studies to identify various risks (HIRA - Hazard Identification and risk assessment), REBA (Rapid Entire Body Assessment)
Conduct studies as per ergonomics software's (Example V3)
Manpower Planning
Performs Manpower calculations as per processes
Ensures Manpower utilization as per work content
Ensures Line balancing as per processes and calculate the line imbalance percentage
Facilitates skill matrix for Manpower Planning
In-depth understanding of UPPH and OEE methodologies and their practical application.
Proven track record of process improvement, with a goal of achieving UPPH > 3.5
Material Handling Design
Designs material handling system - (Material Transfer Interval, and quantity in same interval matching)
Designs material handling equipment's using machine constraints, work order, batch size and load factor
Calculates material handling manpower as per Job Role and Job Load
Simulation
Performs Plant Simulation, Part Flow Simulation, Stage wise WIP calculation, Design of Experiments ( Planning, Conducting and Analyzing design variables e.g. Temperature, feed rate, speed, WIP, manpower, machines, MTTR, MTBF defects, OEE) in order to attain optimum conditions using methods of Factorial Analysis and Orthogonal Arrays
