Overview
As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will specialize in accounting for service and product transactions using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Primarily responsible for the accounting and analysis of variable compensation for ePlus, including but not limited to commissions and bonus.

YOUR IMPACT
The essential functions of this position include:
• Perform monthly commission calculations based on detailed analysis of monthly sales reports and knowledge of active commission plans.
• Perform monthly bonus accruals and quarterly actual calculations based upon active bonus plans.
• Work with management to obtain appropriate reviews and approvals.
• Prepare commission and bonus related journal entries for posting to the general ledger.
• Reconcile, research, and resolve commission and bonus related issues.
• Maintains and prepare Commission and/or Bonus account reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate commission and/or bonus payroll files.
• Assist with the implementation of compensation plans to compensation system.
• Assist with testing of compensation manual calculations versus compensation system results.
• Assist with both internal and external audit requests.
• Perform other duties as requested to meet department goals and objectives.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting
• 4-6 years experience of general ledger accounting
• Experience with public accounting firm or corporate experience preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business (with an accounting emphasis) or equivalent experience
• Experience working under strict deadlines
• Written communication skills essential
• Ability to work well with others
• Skilled in math application
• Detail-oriented
• Good interpersonal skills
• Specialized in service revenue accounting
POSITION SPECIFICS
The base salary range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $50,000 and $75,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions and discretionary bonuses, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and personal leave), dependent on the position offered.
