Robert Half is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support a non-profit human services organization based in Washington State. This role supports a cloud-first, hybrid infrastructure environment and is focused on hands-on execution across infrastructure, cloud, and security initiatives, including multiple compliance-driven projects. The position is primarily onsite, and is a contract-to-hire opportunity with strong potential to convert. Apply today! Job Details:Schedule: 4 days onsite / 1 day remote (hybrid flexibility can be discussed after ramp-up)Duration: Contract-to-hireLocation: Washington State (local candidates preferred) Job Responsibilities:Support and maintain a hybrid IT infrastructure spanning on-premises and cloud environmentsManage and maintain Windows server environments including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related servicesAdminister and support on-prem virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-VSupport cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure, including Azure VMs, networking, storage, and hybrid integrationsDeploy, manage, and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange (hybrid), Teams, SharePoint, and OneDriveAdminister Entra ID (Azure AD), including identity management, MFA, conditional access, and SSOSupport endpoint and device management using Microsoft IntuneImplement and maintain security tooling such as Microsoft Defender (EDR/XDR) and Azure Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR)Monitor infrastructure and applications using tools such as SolarWinds and native Azure monitoringSupport security audits and compliance efforts, including documentation and reportingTroubleshoot complex system, network, and cloud-related issues and serve as an escalation point when neededAutomate administrative tasks and operational workflows using PowerShellMaintain documentation, runbooks, and operational proceduresCollaborate closely with IT leadership while owning hands-on execution of assigned systems and projects
